The Zongzi Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival (端午节) or Dragon Boat Festival, falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. In 2026, the festival was celebrated on Friday, 19 June 2026. It is regarded as one of the four most important traditional Chinese festivals, alongside the Chinese New Year, Qingming Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University organized a learning activity for students in the Grade 7 Chinese Program and upper secondary students in the English–Chinese Program to promote Chinese language and cultural learning. During the activity, students learned about the history and significance of the Duanwu Festival, watched a demonstration on how to make zongzi (Chinese sticky rice dumplings), participated in the hands-on workshop, and enjoyed a variety of prize-winning quiz activities.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Sumalee Thiantongdee, Director of the Demonstration School of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The event was also attended by the school administrators, faculty members, and staff.
